Christian Leaders Stand for a Solution for Peace in Gaza

The horrific terrorist attack and massacre carried out by Hamas on October 7, 2023, and the ensuing war, has made it clearer than ever that a true, long-term Solution for Peace in Gaza is both needed and urgent. As Christians, we are committed to serving as part of the process to create a lasting peace: one that ensures the safety and security of Israel and the Jewish people, builds a foundation for peace and prosperity for Gazans, and ends the destructive culture of hate that has been embedded in the region for generations.

The true Solution for Peace in Gaza does not have to be a zero-sum game. Not only does peace not require a winner and a loser, but for true and just peace to take root, it can become a win-win for all involved. “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” (Matthew 25:40)

Since its founding in 1948, Israel has endured wars and countless terrorist attacks. To achieve lasting peace, Israel must be free from the constant threats of terror and genocidal intentions rooted in intolerance toward its very existence. As Christians, we pray for this peace, but we are also ready to take meaningful action to see this vision realized. "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God." (Matthew 5:9)

Our reverence for the God of Israel extends not only to the Jewish people and the State of Israel, but to all people. As Christians, we are commanded to love everyone in the Lord, including Palestinian Arabs. In the pursuit of true peace, we aim to see a flourishing and sanctified Gaza, where all Gazan Arabs can thrive. We envision Gaza being rebuilt—physically, socially, and spiritually—to offer hope for the future, with peace among Israel, the Jewish people, and all nations. “Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,” says the Lord. (Zechariah 4:6)

We pray for Gazans to turn away from the ideology of hatred that has dominated their culture for so long and to abandon the self-destructive actions that have threatened peace and endangered both themselves and Israel for decades.

We stand ready to commit our time, resources, ministries, prayers, and ourselves to realizing this vision of peace that has previously seemed impossible.

Decades of war and hatred have brought devastation to all. It is time to turn a new page with a vision of hope and peace for Gaza. As Christians, we are ready to serve.

May God work through us, filling us with love and empowering us to be agents of His change. “Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.” (1 John 4:7)
